Renaming of Agrobacterium larrymoorei Bouzar and Jones 2001 as Rhizobium larrymoorei (Bouzar and Jones 2001) comb. nov.

چکیده
In conformity with the nomenclature of the genus Rhizobium published by Young et al. (Int J Syst Evol Microbiol 51, 89-103, 2001), it is proposed that Agrobacterium larrymoorei be named as Rhizobium larrymoorei comb. nov.

Bacterial Spot - Worldwide Distribution, Importance and Review
Bacterial spot disease on tomato is a major problem in tropical, subtropical, and temperate climates. Variation within this organism has been well documented. Two distinct groups, i.e., A and B, were identified in the early 1990s based on phenotypic and genotypic tests. These two groups were determined to be distributed widely throughout the world. The two groups were placed in Xanthomonas axon...
متن کاملA revision of Rhizobium Frank 1889, with an emended description of the genus, and the inclusion of all species of Agrobacterium Conn 1942 and Allorhizobium undicola de Lajudie et al. 1998 as new combinations: Rhizobium radiobacter, R. rhizogenes, R. rubi, R. undicola and R. vitis.
Rhizobium, Agrobacterium and Allorhizobium are genera within the bacterial family Rhizobiaceae, together with Sinorhizobium. The species of Agrobacterium, Agrobacterium tumefaciens (syn. Agrobacterium radiobacter), Agrobacterium rhizogenes, Agrobacterium rubi and Agrobacterium vitis, together with Allorhizobium undicola, form a monophyletic group with all Rhizobium species, based on comparative...
متن کاملOn Almost Sure Convergence without the Radon-nikodym Property
In this paper we obtain almost sure convergence theorems for vectorvalued uniform amarts and C-sequences without assuming the Radon-Nikodym Property. Specifically, it is shown that if a limit exists in a weak sense for these martingale generalizations, then a.s. scalar and strong convergence follow. These results lead to some new versions of the Ito-Nisio theorem. Convergence results for random...
متن کاملPhylogenies of atpD and recA support the small subunit rRNA-based classification of rhizobia.
The current classification of the rhizobia (root-nodule symbionts) assigns them to six genera. It is strongly influenced by the small subunit (16S, SSU) rRNA molecular phylogeny, but such single-gene phylogenies may not reflect the evolution of the genome as a whole. To test this, parts of the atpD and recA genes have been sequenced for 25 type strains within the alpha-Proteobacteria, represent...
متن کاملReclassification of the xanthomonads associated with bacterial spot disease of tomato and pepper.
Four phenotypic xanthomonad groups have been identified that are pathogenic to pepper, tomato, or both hosts. These include groups A and C which are found in Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. vesicatoria, group B found in X. vesicatoria, and group D found in 'X. gardneri'. We present DNA:DNA hybridization data in which X. axonopodis pv. vesicatoria group A and C strains have less than 70% DNA relatedn...
